Turkey April – June 2019 Bootcamp, Kabak, Walks and cycle …

We were both extremely trepidatious before we did our first Bootcamp with Berkay & Lucy….and I do mean our first ….ever !. A glorious setting by the water in Fethiye, great weather ……but a lot of people who seemed to know what they were doing …and many a lot younger than us!

Bootcamp!

Nothing ventured !. I did think Aileen was going to slip away and watch us over a coffee, but no, she stepped up to the plate and got stuck in!. It couldn’t have been too bad as we came back for more in subsequent weeks. It is as hard as you make it, and like all of the other group things, we have done here the people you meet are all stars 🙂

Berkay and Lucy are great at explaining the exercises and keeping everyone motivated but in a fun way with no pressure.

Aileen and Egle at Oludeniz

We had our one and only trip to the Olive Garden Kabak. Egle came along with us. The food was fab as ever and Aileen and I enjoyed the infinity pool….briefly. It was still a bit “bracing”!

A hot-dog

The Sunday walk was from Koca Calis. A nice little loop with a great meal at the end (fresh bass and bream). Now that’s what I call proper fish & chips!

Cat stand-off

Egle’s yoga crew had a few drinks at the K Bar that night, It was good to catch up and swap stories.

The Lekker Ding crew

I braved a cycle with Lekker Ding on Tuesday, the next group up from the Easy Riders. The “12 mosques” route was as pretty as all the walks and cycles here are and, I met more great people including Santi, Ingrid and Santi’s sister Paloma (Sian and Debbie I already knew 🙂 )
