Photo-walk – Scone – 15/05/2020

A mostly lanes 9km stretch of the legs today. Down the Den where we heard the high-pitched “peep” from Long-tailed tits. Hard to spot, high and always moving in a big group so hard to photograph. As we were watching them a Treecreeper flew onto the same tree , then another onto the next tree ….What a treat !. I was lucky as the first one sat quite well and was even in a sunny patch !. They normally sneak round the back of the tree ! We saw a Greenfinch which is rare for us in the wild even though we see them on our feeders. We also saw a male Bullfinch at Murrayshall… but no pic. Can’t complain 🙂
